Debloat your belly with inulin.

Discover inulin, how it works & how it can help lose weight, benefits & properties of a vegetable fibre.

You eat little but still put on weight, are you blocked at a certain weight & do not manage to drop down any kg, than inulin can be very helpful; it sweeps away abdominal fat & prevents it from reforming.

The secret for keeping in shape is actually inside us, infact in our bowel we find so called “good” bacteria, that have the extraordinary capability to not absorb fat & sugar, the 2 nutrients that fatten the most.  The element that stimulates the growth of these slimming bacteria is a vegetable fibre: inulin infact.

Inulin is a fibre & is classified amongst carbohydrates, it is a type of sugar made out of long fructose chains, but no calories, & is part of the water soluble fibres.  It is present expecially in plant foods & in particular in roots & tubers.  It is also found in different types of cabbage & lettuce  & especially in radicchio (Italian chicory), but it could also be found as a powder supplement, it is the favourite food of the slimming bacteria that the more they grow the more they free us from the old fat & make sure that we do not put on other; they infact also effect our metabolism which becomes faster allowing us to burn calories faster.  BJust a few hours are needed after the assumption of inulin for the “fat burning” bacteria to multiply.

In the form of supplement 4 grams a day are sufficient, before meals & for a period of 10 days we can already see the incredible results starting from the swelling reduction (debloating), caused by too much yeast & leavening in our diet, to metabolism acceleration & especially the satiety feeling before meals.

Inulin is present in many vegetables such as:

  • ARTICHOKE (the fresher it is the more it contains, & it helps avoid storing sugar & carbs in our adipose tissue)
  • BANANA (banana is one of the major sources of inulin)
  • TOPINAMBUR or Jerusalem artichoke (differently from other tubers it contains little starch & thanks to the inulin it has a very low glycemic index & a high satiety feeling power, it also contains various minerals & vitamins)

We can find it also in leeks, onions, radicchio (italian chicory) & other types of cabbage & lettuce.

During the 10 day inulin cycle, we can give an extra boost to our weightloss by combining a tea or infusion for the evening, a tea against abdominal bloating made from lemon balm (herb) & passion flower.  Lemon balm tastes very similar to lemon & has a calming effect on our bowel, freeing us from excessive gas.  The Passion flower contains beneficial fibres.  Both have a regularizing effect, and are perfect if you suffer from irritable bowel for example.  This mixture can be prepared by putting equal parts of passion flower & lemon balm leaves, (approximately 1 spoonful) in a cup of boiling water & let set for 5 minutes.  Filter & drink without sweetening.  Also red or dark berry juice is great like blueberry, red currant or black currant.  These fruits contain flavonoids amongst which we find anthocyanins, that have an anti-inflammatory action, & help to regenerate intestinal mucosa, & also give an extra hand to inulin.
