Sarin gas what is it and what does it cause!

When we speak about attacks with sarin gas we are talking  about one of the most cruel and bloody attacks that you can think of and this is due to Horrible and Terrible peculiarities of this gas.

Over the years there have been various attacks sarin with sarin gas but unfortunately the human being has not learned anything.

WHAT IS SARIN GAS

The Sarin or GB is a type of gas nerve from the organophosphates family and is classified as a chemical weapon of mass destruction.  At the end of 1938 it was obtained for the first time by German scientists the Nazi IG Farben during attempts to develop substances with such a biocidal action.

Sarin gas at room temperature is a liquid that has an aspect that goes from colourless to yellow-brown, is odorless and is extremely volatile. Its vapor is odourless and colourless. The intoxication can occur by inhalation and through contact with the skin. An appropriate concentration of the vapors is able to pass through the skin, making the use of gas masks not sufficient. It is one of the most cruel weapons, precisely because it cannot be seen, heared or smelt at all but then all the serious consequences are felt, heard and seen.

The sarin gas strikes the nervous system of all living organisms. The first symptoms of exposure to sarin gas are:

– Respiratory difficulties

– Contraction of the pupils

– Progressive loss of control of bodily functions,

– Vomiting and loss of urine and faeces.

You then get to the final part of the exposure to the gas which leads to a coma until arriving to suffocation as a result of convulsive spasms.

A person exposed to contamination by sarin, even if in small quantities may have irreversible neurological damage.

The lethal dose is a dose of 200 milligrams causing death in a couple of minutes.

History has seen various passages of sarin gas, first for the exclusive use of the intelligence of the whole world, in 1995 it was used in the subway of Tokyo and apparently only a few hours ago in a village in Syria where already during the civil war it was used on the eastern district of Damascus in Ghouta, on the 21st August 2013, and killed a thousand people leaving others with symptoms of which we have written above.

It should be recalled or better it should reminded that the use of chemical weapons is prohibited even in contexts of war such as the current one in Syria for example, in most of the states that in 1993 signed the Paris Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The Paris Convention foresaw that by 2007 the acceding countries to the Convention destroyed all their chemical arsenal and committed themselves to the dismanteling of the production centres, for this request many countries including Russia and the United States asked for an extension and now it is estimated that only 78,57 per cent of the entire world chemical arsenal has been destroyed. Obviously and unfortunately there were even nations that had not wanted to join such as Egypt, Syria, North Korea, Angola and South Sudan and this means that they have their own arsenals of chemical weapons which are however not only weapons but real works of cruelty to living beings.

We do not actually know what really happened in Syria, but we can certainly see photos and videos and recognize the symptoms of what is an absolutely cruel and powerful weapon because it is able to reach everyone including children not even giving them the opportunity to defend themselves.
