The high content of flavonoids present in black tea, in fact, together with the high concentration of powerful antioxidants, would prevent the oxidation of lipoproteins of low density, going to effectively counteract the phenomenon of plaques on the arteries. Black tea improves the contraction and the expansion of the latter and prevents the creation of clots and inflammation.

Black tea comes from the leaves of the plant Camellia Sinensis (or Thea sinensis), the same plant of green tea. The black tea differs from green tea only for the machining process of the leaves. The leaves of black tea, after having been collected and marinated, are dried, rolled up and chopped, in these processes they release enzymes and polyphenols there is then a phase of fermentation at high temperatures, of short duration and finally the leaves are dried again and from here the name and also the colour of the leaves, which practically undergo an oxidation reaction, which does not occur in the machining process of green tea, and causes the black tea to have a flavour that is more intense and a higher content of caffeine (a cup of black tea contains from 40 to 100 mg, while an espresso coffee contains about 80 mg).
Black tea is in fact the tea with the higher content of caffeine between all the various types of tea, it is important to leave the leaves in infusion for a maximum of 5 minutes to reach the correct aroma of the infusion, to solubilize adequately the caffeine and stabilize the tannins.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BLACK TEA AND GREEN TEA
Black tea such as green tea contains a good number of polyphenols and tannins, especially useful in the event of diarrhea.
The polyphenols contribute as antioxidants, to fight aging and to prevent cardiovascular diseases. Also the presence of theobromine, cardiotonic substance with modest diuretic properties contributes in keeping the heart in good health. The presence of theophylline also helps to fight asthma and bronchitis acting as a bronchodilator and favouring the action of the muscles of the lungs and of the diaphragm.
Black tea acts as a stimulator and is therefore more indicated during breakfast or in the afternoon, maybe in one of its many aromatizations, it is to be avoided in the evening and at night. Green tea has less caffeine and is therefore more suitable for everyone.
