How to become a Certified Yoga Teacher

How to become a certified yoga teacher, which are the best schools, paths and courses to teach this complex and complete discipline at the same time. Let us begin by understanding a little bit all the aspects.

WHAT IS YOGA AND WHERE IS IT FROM

From the religious point of view:

Yoga is a technique of self-discipline practiced by the followers of the Buddhist religion and all religious philosophies of India. The term, which comes from the Sanskrit, derives from the word yuj (yoke in English), that means “to subjugate”. As a religious practice, it would control the psychophysical forces and join the soul with the original principle, i.e. God. These objectives would be achieved through a daily strict physical training; according to the adepts the inner balance can only be achieved by controlling the breath, focusing on a part of the body, or taking a particular position. One of the most famous is the lotus (seated legs crossed with arms open outwards), through which the conscience of the self would be reached.

Apart from religion:

Outside of a religious concept and therefore open to all we find hatha yoga, a variant of yoga, which tends to maximize the performance of the body, to obtain perfect control of every movement and every physiological function. This type of yoga is widespread also outside of the religious sphere and is absolutely the most practiced, since applying breathing techniques and special positions of the body, decreases the sensitivity to pain, it goes to act on the smooth muscle, and resolves pathologies that may have a psychosomatic origin.

Limiting therefore only to the western and physical vision, yoga serves to achieve a state and a feeling of well-being and in fact the physical exercises set in motion all the muscles and the various structures of the body; the static nature of the positions allows you to check the frequency and depth of your breath; silence, the slowness of the movements and the steadiness of the positions help to relax.

HOW IS IT PRACTICED AND WHO CAN PRACTICE

The exercises of hatha yoga are substantially constituted by static positions that must be maintained for a time that varies depending on the experience, familiarity with yoga and physical capacities of each one of us.
For example it can be kept from 10-15 seconds from a beginner, a few minutes from an expert and even very long time by the masters of the discipline.
The positions stimulate the muscles through the prolonged relaxation and, while being static, involve increased inflow of blood and oxygen in the stressed areas.
This stimulation, even if carried out very slowly and not always in an intense way, allows the person to acquire greater awareness of the different areas of their body and to maintain agility and physical elasticity.
The positions have more disparate names that come from nature and are various done standing, sitting or lying down to help improve the balance and stability of the person, extend the spine and muscles, strengthen the muscles and stimulate circulation.

Through centuries of practice not only yoga has taken more and more foot but has also led to the creation of numerous variants, each of which puts the emphasis on one aspect rather than the other, currently in fact we have some versions with more physical properties such as Poweryoga, Fityoga, ect, more acrobatic like ACROYOGA, until coming to disciplines as complex as the STYLEOGA® method, which implies a mix between positions of hatha yoga, tai chi, and fitness, completing a very important physical part and leaving a space necessary also for breathing and meditation.

The Styleoga® method can be practiced by all at any age and of any religion, it does not imply in fact the religious part of original yoga, but implies a greater physicality, the positions are held longer but done quicker and the results are more immediate. You in fact reach quicker the stage of physical wellbeing and mental relaxation.
