Cucumber is really good for our health and also in the case of slimming diets, but lets see some recipes in more detail and also some useful natural remedies.

Cucumber is used in many recipes and for many uses in the kitchen, infact it can be eaten raw, in salads or transformed into sauces or drank as a juice and even use it in great cocktails.  It is not a good idea to bake it though because it would lose all its nutritional properties.

In summer, the juice of the fresh cucumber is a great drink and thirst quencher, but it can also be used for refreshing baths, let us now see the amazing and easy Cucumber recipes:

Cucumber and ginger centrifuge ideal for detoxifying the organism.

Ingredients::

-1 cucumber;
-1 green apple;
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger;
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Wash well the cucumber and apple. Cut the apple and the cucumber into cubes and insert into the centrifuge machine. Pour the juice into a glass, add the lemon juice and ginger and mix vigorously.

Excellent as a snack.

Thirst quenching centrifuge with cucumber, kiwi and apple.
In summer the days are very hot and stuffy, this thirst quenching centrifuge rich in mineral salts and vitamins is truly ideal!

Ingredients:

-1 cucumber
-1 apple
-2 kiwi
Wash the fruit, cut it into pieces with the whole skin and insert it into the centrifuge. Pour the drink into a glass and serve.

Cucumber and melon smoothie recipe.
If you do not have an extractor, you can always prepare an excellent refreshing smoothie with a normal blender.

Ingredients:

-1 cucumber
-3 melon slices
-5-6 fresh mint leaves
-120 ml plain yogurt
~2-3 ice cubes
Wash well the cucumber, then peel it and cut it into pieces. Cut into small cubes the 3 melon slices. Put everything in the blender, blend for 30 seconds, pour the drink into a cup and enjoy.

Benefits of the cucumber in cosmetics
When we speak of cosmetics the cucumber is used:

  • In order to attenuate the fatigue and the swelling of the eyes: place just a slice on each eye and let it rest for at least half an hour
  • To remove the dark circles under your eyes: cucumber, rich in vitamin C, amino acids and mineral salts, is known for its ability to attenuate visibly the dark circles under your eyes. Simply apply on the eyes two slices, make sure that they are not too thin.  The time varies according to your needs: on average just 15-20 minutes to attenuate the dark eye circles.
  • For refreshing, purifying and anti-fatigue masks, but also to soothe dermatitis and attenuate wrinkles you can use the pulp blended.

We can than prepare a tonic for the face that is very useful or even a cucumber face mask:

Cucumber facial tonic recipe: stir the pulp of a cucumber with a bunch of parsley and with the aid of two tablespoons of water, filter and pat it on your face’s skin.

Cucumber face mask recipe purifying and astringent: to get a good purifying face mask just roll a cucumber, add 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt, an egg white and two spoonfuls of white clay, mix everything with a little lemon juice. Spread on the face for 15-20 minutes. Remove everything with some cold green tea.

Regenerating hair mask recipe: blend the cucumber with an egg yolk, 3 tablespoons plain yogurt, two spoons of mayonnaise and a tablespoon of honey. Let it lay on your hair for at least one hour.
