A warm bath, with the right water temperature & the adeguate essential oils could really help us keep in shape & reduce thighs, abdomen & waistline volume!

Taken in the right way a warm bath can give us numerous benefits because we purify our body & remove excessive toxins & waste.  Water more than any other element has a purifying & detoxifying action even just with a prolonged contact with our body, like for example when in the bath tub, if we than add the right useful elements, the slimming effect is guaranteed, for example coarse salt or specific essences.  Infact just a few minutes in the tub are enough to stimulate the transpiration & oxygenation of our cells & also the removal of toxins.  Even our skin will be immdeiately softer & smoother.

The best time to enjoy a warm bath is definitely in the evening after a busy day, a similar treatment could definitely lead to relaxation, the water must be warm enough to induce sweating but not too hot that can be harmful, the ideal temperature is between 36°c-37°c, before dipping ourselves completely it is ideal to wash ourselves well & drink plenty of water.  Stay in the tub for about 10-15 minutes without adding any soap but only essential oils.  At the end rinse yourself to remove the sweat & than dry up delicately,  the purifying bath should be repeated at least 5 times with a break of 2 non-consecutive days, this cycle can than be repeated after about 3 weeks.

There are salts & oils that are particulary adapt for purifying like for example:

  • EPSOM SALT, they are super-detoxifying, discovered in Epsom, England and are made out of magnesium sulfate, this substance is very useful because it gets absorbed by our skin & releases all the harmful toxins, reducing swelling & waste accumulation.  Pour about 400g into the tub with boiling water, let them melt & than add cold water to bring it to the right temperature, hence dip yourself for approximately 10-15 minutes.

  • CAMELLIA OIL, this secret comes from Japan (where they are very concerned about aesthetics, wellness & healthy skin), just add 1 spoon camellia oil to the full bath.  This oil is rich in vitamin E & polyphenols it has an emollient action & infact penetrates deeply into the skin leaving it smooth & silky.
  • HYSSOP, GERANIUM OR ROSE OIL, these are purifying & firming oils; the geranium essential oil is an ideal alternative to who is a bit older since it has an anti-age effect, also LAVENDER or SANDAL oil are very useful.

Even if you don’t have a bath tub at home you can enjoy the benefits of the water by for example using a sponge in the shower, wet the sponge and rub it on your body while under the water jet alternating the water from cold to hot with a time lapse of a few minutes, this way we will revive our circulation & purify our tissue.  It is also possible to use the essential oils after the shower when our skin is more receptive, this way it is hydrated & avoids typical dryness of particular periods.
