Cocoa beans to reduce hunger and sweet craving!
Cocoa beans are the raw seeds of the plant raw, from which cocoa powder and cocoa butter are obtained, which as we know is widely in the kitchen and also in cosmetics.
These cocoa beans are very rich in mineral salts, vitamins, antioxidants, Flavonoids and polyphenols which contrast the action of the free radicals, which as we know well are responsible for the cellular ageing and some pathologies.
The caloric content of cocoa beans is about 450 kcal per 100 g, with a fat content of about 30%. You can find them raw, roasted or even chocolate coated.
Cocoa beans to reduce hunger
Cocoa beans have many benefits and properties for example they contain theobromine which is able to increase the “good” cholesterol, it has a hypotensive effect, since it works by relaxing the muscles of the blood vessels, which expand, they are also anti-inflammatory.
They contain caffeine that gives a slightly euphoric effect and increases the metabolism. Therefore although they have quite a high calorie value, they are also allowed in slimming diets especially for reducing hunger since their flavour takes away the desire of sweet and the fibre content (30%) gives a long sense of satiety, in addition to slowing down the absorption of sugars.
They are therefore ideal to be consumed as a snack for a maximum of 4-5. They can also be combined with fruit (the water content of the latter further increases the sense of satiety) but also added to risotto or main courses, for out of the commmon combinations or even to make a tea, but obviously unsweetened, this should take the place of coffee. In fact you must leave in infusion the beans for about 3-4 minutes in boiling water, filter and drink, this helps to reduce hunger, but also gives the same effect of coffee in the morning.
