STOP SNORING
Snoring is an action that causes very unpleasant sounds and that occurs as a result of difficulties or an airway obstruction. It is mostly a nocturnal noise that may also prevent a good sleep.
Snoring consists in respiratory difficulties that produce a temporary interruption of the breath for a period of more than 10 seconds, reducing the levels of oxygen, the breathes will regularize themselves with a more intense sound, factor that indicates that the air tries to pass through a narrow respiratory channel.
If it is not serious and therefore does not need to have recourse to the doctor there are some healthy habits that can help stop snoring.
Some foods in fact possess properties and nutrients that relax the respiratory channels and that therefore reduce this problem during sleep.
Lets see the foods that help stop snoring:
- HONEY: Usually honey is enhanced because it is rich in essential nutrients and natural sugars, honey is an excellent food to fight many disorders that affect the quality of sleep. However it helps to stop snoring because it acts positively on the throat and on the respiratory tract and therefore helps to fight congestion and consequently helps us not to snore.
- GARLIC: Garlic contains zolfate substances that, once absorbed decongest, the respiratory system and prevent infections. Consuming garlic therefore has an anti-inflammatory effect on the throat and reduces those annoying noises while sleeping.
- ALMONDS: Almonds are a good remedy for fighting the annoying night snoring. Almonds in fact bring significant amounts of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, the consumption of which reinforces and gives relief to the tissues of the throat so that they are not damaged by the vibrations that occur when we breathe. They are also satiating and therefore also help us not to wake up for example for a midnight snack.
- ROSEMARY: Rosemary is a very healthy herb used a lot in the kitchen to give a different taste to the dishes, but it also contains medical active principles that help to take care of our health. Rosemary has expectorant, anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties that facilitate the treatment of throat irritation and reduce the symptoms of night apnea. Also thanks to these properties the respiratory tract is kept cleaner by facilitating the passage of oxygen through.
- OLIVE OIL: Has always been considered the best dressing it is also an excellent remedy against recurring and annoying snoring. It is in fact rich in essential fatty acids and anti-inflammatory compounds that help to preserve a better quality of sleep and to avoid clogging or restriction of the respiratory channels.
These foods may not solve the problem entirely but can certainly help to relieve it a little by alleviating the symptoms. Obviously apart from these foods it is also useful to remember that having a light dinner helps you sleep better and consequently also stop snoring as well as a healthy and active life, without smoking and with regular physical activity.
