Native Americans a continuous holocaust!
Many times we have heard of the SHOA, of the massacre done by Hitler to the Jews but also to gypsies, homosexuals and disabled both physical and mental, history unfortunately often reminds us of this tragic and incomprehensible event of human madness. It is necessary to continue to remember not to fall into the same mistakes but unfortunately both before and after the SHOA other similar events still occur for which entire peoples, whole ethnic groups were and still are exterminated: it is the case of the Native Americans from the north to the south of the American continent.
And if when we think of the Native Americans we think about the image that we have wanted to give of uncivilised head hunters, perhaps we do not even sympathize, but this type of image has been strongly wanted and given by those who stole their land, exterminated them without saving women or children or sick and has put in the first place the purely economic interest of a land that promises and has always given, immense richness in the subsoil such as oil, rare gems and gold.
Let take a small step to get to know this culture who should have instead been protected and respected that has always defended and still cares for the interest of the environment, nature, living in harmony with the environment that surrounds us and that at the basis of its culture has always and however peaceful battles.
NATIVE AMERICANS A CONTINUOUS HOLOCAUST
The Holocaust of the Native Americans is also known as the “500 years of war”, because almost 100 million human beings were killed in the name of colonization.
Not only the natives died, but also their traditions, culture and also a natural unspoilt and beautiful habit was forever destroyed.
The famous discovery of America that from the same name is indicated as an invasion, was for the natives the beginning of the end because from that moment the advance of the massacre began, that ended only in the first world war to be relegated in some areas from which they slowly continue to be eliminated.
The entire American continent as a result of the arrival of Columbus which opened the way to millions of British settlers was transformed into an open air concentration camp where settlers made themselves Masters in virtue of the fact that the Red Indians did not want to succumb to the white domain….(and here we are without words)
In addition to real and actual attacks, of mass murder among the most famous little creek or Sand Creek where all the women and children of an entire tribe lost their lives (about 600 people were attacked by 700 soldiers who completely didn’t care about the peace agreements concluded previously. To exterminate the redskins also smallpox, influenza, chicken pox, measles, all pathologies that came together with the westerners gave a hand.
Non existant diseases in America, thats why while the European populations had developed antibodies, the Indians suffered from ailments and died without medical treatment. It is estimated that about one tenth of the entire world population was exterminated.
Unfortunately history not only did not teach us anything but apparently repeats itself and nowadays the last remaining natives are still fighting in North Dakota to preserve the lands they own and that instead the United States sold to large oil companies or the natives of South America such as the Guarani in Brazil and Paraguay that are hunted down to make room for the plantations of palm oil.
There is to say that unfortunately the human being has a very short memory but sees way too far when it comes to raising money and we conclude here but with a great quote of the great Indian chief SITTING BULL:
“When the last tree is cut down,
the last fish eaten and the last stream poisoned
Only then you will realize that you cannot eat money”.
