BEE BREATHING TECHNIQUE TO CALM THE MIND.

There are many types of breathing and all help to calm the mind, relief agitation, but each type has specific characteristics such as the bee breathing technique that we are going to see now.

HOW TO CARRY OUT THE BEE BREATHING TECHNIQUE TO CALM THE MIND

  • Close your ears by gently pushing the index finger towards the inside of the ear.
  • Inhale with Ujjayyi, exhale from the nose producing the buzzing sound of a bee a sort of “MMM”
  • Try to feel the vibration on the throat, nape, forehead, hence throughout the head and the brain.

Practice 5-10 cycles, or more, up to about 10 minutes, preferably in the early morning or late evening.

This type of breathing produces a calming effect on the nervous system and mind, it manages to give a general feeling of tranquility and well-being, helps to eliminate the effects of stress, including high pressure, which in this case is lowered and regularised thanks precisely to the stimulation of the parasympathetic system which acts positively on the cardiac activity.

It also favours peacefulness, relaxation, night rest, digestion, energy storage; improves the functioning of the throat and the voice, favouring the meta verbal communication and strengthening the personality.

The sound that is produced, the famous “mmmm” is a vibration which reverberates in the skull and in the cephaloarakidian liquid producing a massage to the brain and its glands, with a beneficial effect on the spinal cord and nerves: the dysfunctions related to stress and tension, such as headache, lack of attention, concentration and memory, normalises.
Moreover it favours and prepares us for the practice of meditation by harmonising and stimulating Visuddha and Ajna chakra
A single trick to keep in mind is that it should not be practiced in the case of infections in the ear.
