The coriander belongs to the family of aromatic herbs it is a natural flavouring used very much in oriental cooking that at first sight resembles our parsley but tastes totally different.
Coriander is also called eastern or chinese parsley, but in reality it is plant originating from the Mediterranean but finds greater use precisely in the East. Both in the kitchen and as a natural remedy if its leaves and small Seeds (in reality the fruits of the plant must be picked mature) are used.

The coriander is a natural antibiotic against more resistant bacteria. Coriander oil can in fact be used to treat infections and food-borne diseases. It is very effective against fungi and other microorganisms.
Coriander is also an antispasmodic and digestive, i.e. a remedy that is very useful in case of abdominal swelling, aereofagia, stomach difficulties, irritable colon and also diarrhea.
Coriander also stimulates the nervous system and works as a tonic against tiredness and apathy. All of these properties are due to the presence of substances that are useful to our organism such as vitamins, mineral salts and fibre as well as antioxidants, essential oils and others.
It is particularly indicated for the removal of mercury from the organism, but also cadmium, lead and aluminum present in bones or in the nervous system. For this its action and ability to remove heavy metals is often combined with chlorella, so that the toxins will no longer be reabsorbed.
CORIANDER IN THE KITCHEN
Coriander is a spice used at various levels in the kitchen since it has a delicate flavour and does not cover other foods. You can use it fresh or dried either in the form of leaves and seeds.
Coriander leaves are used to flavour pasta dishes, soups, vegetable soups but also meat and fish dishes. With regards instead the seeds, are used more to prepare stuffed products, pickles or as natural remedies.
Together with other spices, hence the seeds form curry and garam masala, famous mixtures of spices known and commonly used in the east, especially in India and Thailand.

1 teaspoon coriander seeds or dried coriander leaves
Preparation:
Leave the leaves or seeds to macerate in a cup of boiling water covered for about 5 minutes
