Office stretching

In the office once in a while it is good to do some exercise to stretch and loosen up since that often working at your desk and spending most of the day sitting, may lead to suffering from small pains and aches. We therefore need to find the right time for good exercise, but when this is not possible we still can do some exercises alone daily; here are some effective exercises that can be done even while you are sitting at your desk.

  • Straight leg extension

If you do not sit in a correct way or if you’re there for too long this could lead to reducing the circulatory capacity especially in the legs, hence this exercise is really useful to restore a correct blood flow.  Remain seated, straighten your legs and arch your back, bringing your head to the level of your knees, trying to touch your toes with your finger tips.

  • ARMS EXTENSION

This exercise is very easy because it consists of taking a natural position that all we do when we feel a little stiff and tired.  Raise your arms above your head join your hands and fingers together push upwards away from your body.extended arms

  • Bending using a chair

This is an excellent exercise: bend forward with your back straight and arms forward resting on the backrest of your chair.  Keep your back and arm muscles tense for a few seconds. Then rise up slowly untill you get back into an upright position.

  • Low Lunges

The lunges are an excellent exercise, in the office you can easily make the low lunges.  Kneel down, put one leg bent in front at a right angle.  Stretch your other leg backwards, hold this position for a few seconds and then repeat on the other leg.

  • Neck and shoulders

Bend over the desk, stiffening your shoulders and keeping your spine arched.  Straighten your arms backwards and bring your hands together by joining your fingers.  You should feel your chest and back pull.
