Revive your bowel with jam!
We can revive our bowel & beat constipation starting from the morning with a good and correct breakfast.
Breakfast as we always say is the most important meal of the day & it is from here were we must fight constipation one of the major problems of the western world, & the main cause of this problem is a poor fibre diet, scarce hydration & sedentary life. We can start with a good breakfast by choosing a good jam, since very often for sale we find actual sugar & calorie bombs, or others with 1000 ingredients we can make some ourselves.
We just need 3 teaspoons together with brown bread or rusks to regulate our bowel & colon.
CONSTIPATION FIGHTING JAM RECIPES.
PEAR & INULIN
(contains pectin, inulin & regularizing fibres):
Ingredients:
1kg mature pears
300g brown sugar
10g inulin
1 lemon bio
1 pod vanilla
Peel the pears & remove the core, than cut in little pieces. Put them in a pot together with the vanilla and cook for 15 minutes after boiling, on a very low flame & covered with the lid. After 15 minutes add the grated lemon rind & the sugar mixing to the inulin. Simmer for another 20 minutes, blend all the ingredients & pour into sterilized jars with a hermetic lid. Let them cool down & store in the refrigerator.
PAPAYA & GINGER
(ideal for bowel regularity)
INGREDIENTS:
1kg papaya pulp
250g brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Cut the pulp in cubes & put it in a pot on the hob. When it begins the soften pour in slowly the sugar stiring it slowly with a wooden spoon, than add the ginger, stir continuously & cook for approximately 45 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars with hermetic lids, let it cool down & store in the refrigerator.
CARROT & LEMON
(provides regularizing fibres)
Ingredients:
1kg carrots
400g brown sugar
2 lemons bio (rind & juice)
Wash & peel the carrots, put in a pot & wash them with the lemon juice, hence cover them in water. Cook them placing the lid over but leaving a little slot. When the carrots will be completely cooked, cut them into small cubes, place the cubes into a clean pot & add the lemons’ rind & sugar, place the pot on the hob & cook until you obtain the desired consistency. Pour into sterilized jars with hermetic lids.
KIWI & AGAR-AGAR
(agar-agar reduces the sugar & increases the fibres)
Ingredients:
1kg kiwi pulp
100g brown sugar
1 sachet agar agar
Cook the kiwi pulp together with the sugar for about 40 minutes stiring with a wooden sppon, add the diluted agar-agar (read the dilution method on the packet). Mix well and boil slowly for 5 minutes, than pour into the sterilized jars with hermetic lids.
DATES & THYME
(rich in fibre & magnesium)
Ingredients:
1kg dehydrated dates pulp
200g brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
few thyme leaves
Wash the dates & remove the stone, dry them & weight 1kg of pulp. Put them into a pot together with the sugar & cinnamon & add 1 ladle of water. Cook for approximately 1 hour on a medium flame, than blend if you prefer a creamier consistency. Pour into the sterilized glass jars with hermetic lid & place the thyme leaves on top of the jam before sealing.
