MUSCULAR PAIN WRAP
The wraps are made out of a gauze tampon dipped into an ifusion, decoction, tincture etc, which is than applied to the painful area. Usually for wounds or headache cold wraps are used while for pains hot wraps are preferred. Soaking a soft, clean cloth into a savoy cabbage decoction helps reduce muscle pain. The decoction is prepared by boiling for 5 minutes 100g of savoy cabbage strips in 200ml of water with 1 spoon soy sauce. Than soak the cloth into this decoction, wring well & apply onto the painful area until it is completely dry. Repeat this process various times during the day until obtaining an improvement.
JOINT POULTICE
Poultices (plasters) have an action similar to the one of a wrap but instead of using the plant’s extract we use the leaves & flowers of the same plant, ground or crushed. Bring to a boil 5-6 savoy cabbage leaves, drain & dry them, grind them & divide them into 2 gauzes. The poultice is than fixed with a plaster & left on the affected area for at least 30 minutes. This process may be repeated more times during the day.
