Description of the Subcapsular cataract
Subcapsulare cataract is that pathology that afflicts the ocular globe, with the crystalline that becomes opaque and consequently leads to a significant deterioration of the eyesight.
The resolution of this pathological condition as in many other cases involves a surgical operation to remove the crystalline lens and replace it with an artificial one.
As you can imagine or know, the eyesight depends on the phenomenon in which a light beam penetrates into our eye and through the lens that acts as a mirror, this serves to have clear images. Consequently when this mirror (crystalline), as time passes, loses its characteristics of refraction becoming thicker and opaque and everything makes the light that enters the eye less, disperses and as a further consequence, images have a worse focus and seem to be distorted.
The subcapsular cataract creates a sort of stain in the lens that with the passing of time prevents light from reaching, preventing its route correctly up to the retina.
When should we check if the cataract is present
when this visual defect becomes more pronounced and obvious, it is time to make a thorough ophthalmological visit. The visit is not nothing particularly complicated or worrying, but just to be safe and to be able to make an accurate diagnosis is possible that; further exams that go deeper are done; in order to be able to correctly analyze the causes of visual disturbances which the person presents.
All these analyzes and tests may also be required in view of the fact that the causes of the subcapsular cataract are well more than one, for example just to mention some of them, it could be the way in which a person lives or matters concerning his physiology.
Also the age of the person (usually after 60 years) plays an obvious important role, but also those who for various reasons are too exposed to sunlight and the same goes for those who exceed frequently in drinking or in smoking. Other causative elements may be things such as hypertension, diabetes or obesity. It may perhaps seem strange that these conditions which do not concern the eye affect our eyesight but we should remember that the body is a machine and as such all its components; must be in place for proper operation.
If these can be the causes lets examine the possible symptoms that are less ability to see at night, colors that lose their characteristics, and the appearance of a photo sensitivity.
Despite the direct intervention of cataract removal seems to be the best remedy for the subcapsular catataract it is always the person’s decision on how to intervene.
