Many times we have reminded  you to add spices to your dishes, to add taste and also reduce salt, this way your dishes are still very tasty but much less harmful.  Actually spices apart from adding taste to our dishes they can be very helpful, infact there are real and actual FAT BURNING spices!

Lets see which they are and what they do:

CHILI PEPPER:

It is by now known that chili pepper contains capsaicin, that slows down appetite and increases metabolism.  It has also been proved that it increases the basal metabolism, meaning the quantity of energy our organism requires daily to perform its ordinary and necessary activities such as breathing, heart beating etc.

It than also has a vasodilator effect, which helps keep in control blood pressure and prevents disorders to the vascular system.  Furthermore chili pepper moves the deposited fat.

GARLIC:

Contains an elevated concentration of minerals (selenium and germanium), enzymes, aminoacids and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D and H.

As this was not enough it has only 41 calories for every 100g and is very effective in reactivating our metabolism by increasing the fat burning capacity.  Moreover it keeps cholesterol levels and glycemic peaks under control and helps also keeping high blood pressure away.

Even if keeping vampires away is not part of the weight loss properties we can still say that it is an interesting characteristic 🙂

GINSENG:

Optimizes our metabolism and  has practically the same effects of caffeine but without having its side effects.

GINGER:

How many times have we already spoken about ginger and its marvellous properties:

Ideal against cold, ginger is rich in gingerol, that liquifies the bile and and regulates peristalsis, unswelling our abdomen and making us feel immediately lighter.

BLACK PEPPER:

It is one of the most common and used spices, and thanks to its thermogenic active principle, piperine, it stimulates thermogenesis, helping in the control of the body weight.

It has a stimulating action towards our organism, but it is not ideal for everyone and should neither be used constantly because it could cause various gastroenterological disorders.  Black pepper is not recommended if suffering from gastritis, gastric ulcer, hemorrhoids and hypertension.

ONION:

Even the onion is a precious kitchen gem, it is infact rich in vitamins A, C, E and some group B vitamins too, but also potassium, calcium, and sodium it is fundamental for our diet because of its high content of phytoestrogens and cinarinosimili substances, that promote the diuseris and hences remove fluid retention, that is also responsible for cellulitis.

It also keeps constant the level of blood sugar, and solves the problem of ingrown hairs thanks to its disinfecting power.

ORIGAN:

Helps with digestion and is also a valid ally against cellulitis, for which it should be used as an infusion.  The origan infusion infact attenuates the contraction and fermentation of the intestinal gas.

SAFFRON:

Saffron contains safranate which stimulates the metabolism.  By adding 3-4 stigmas each day at to your dishes the after cooking vegetables, risottos and sauces/gravy this helps give more taste to the dish helps our organism and also our shape.  Furthermore the useful researches indicate it as an excellent aphrodisiac.

CINNAMON:

Cinnamon is useful for burning abdominal fat and in helping us obtain that famous flat stomach.  Different researches infact prove that cinnamon is capable of reducing the blood sugar levels.
