Lets start off by precising that first of all to fight cellulite we must remove completely from our diet all types of fizzy drinks & alcohol, reduce to the minimum the consumption of fried & fat foods, eat a lot of fruit & vegetables and drink art least 2 litres of water per day in order to stop water retention. These small steps if done regularly can be really useful in reducing cellulite. This imperfection hits women of any age, therefore we reccomend to follow a correct eating strategy, that even if it does not make the problem disappear completely it at least reduces it to the minimum.
What can be done against cellulite
Many factors may cause cellulite, but the main ones are; hormone disfunction, bad blood circulation, and an excessive toxin accumultation on the adipose tissue. This is why following a balanced & healthy diet is not enoug to remove cellulite alone, we must always consider the excess of adipose tissue & the detoxication of our organism. Following a balanced & correct diet, a proper hydration & an adeguate physical activity, help reducing cellulite, that is an actual skin inflammation process that does not only hit overweight people, even though the extra kg worsen the situation. However there are many natural remedies that offer good relief.
Which are the reccomended foods?
In a cellulite fighting diet we definitely must not leave out fruit & vegetables, especially vegetables containing sorbic acid, or rather vitamin C, this helps our capillaries strengthen & be more resistant. Therefore the choice is wide but always fresh seasonal fruit & vegetables are reccomended, an idea of choice would be: spinach, lettuce, broccoli, chicory, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, capsicum, citrus fruits, pineapple, cherries, straberries & kiwi. Once again also the following are reccomended for a cellulite fighting diet, fennel, artichokes, melon, watermelon, cucumber, endive and peaches. Moreover these foods can be cooked in various ways: they can also be liquidized & consumed as juice or even tea. We always reccomend to cook in a healthy way & with little or no oil. Moreover we can also take into consideration, mushrooms, apricots, peas, dates, beans, almonds, rice, raisins and broccoli, these contain little sodium & a good quantity of potassium & help against water retention. With regards to the foods that must be absolutely avoided, lets start off with enemy number 1, this is salt, because it is responsible for the increase of water retention in our organism. We could reduce the salt consumed by avoiding, preserved foods, pre packed & pre cooked food, & using less salt as flavouring, we could use lemon instead or oil, vinegar & spices. Another little hint, is to add salt to the pasta only towards the end of the cooking time so that the quantity absorbed will be much less, it is also fundamental to read ver carefully the labels of the products purchased, especially in the so called light or low fat products, which usually have less sugar added but this is compensated by an increase of salt, for example the cereal bars, therefore pay very good attention & try to buy products with the lowest amount of ingredients possible.
