We hear more often talking about Glyphosate, but what is the truth about this pesticide?

Glyphosate truth and lies:

Glyphosate is a pesticide that has come to the news headlines due to many consumers and associations that are protesting stating that it would be carcinogenic and harmful to health. In some countries it has already been outlawed and many municipalities in Italy are trying to do the same but the European Community is not entirely united on this matter.

WHAT IS GLYPHOSATE?

Glyphosate is a substance that is very much used in pesticides. It was composed for the first time in 1950 by a Swiss chemical, but was marketed as a herbicide for agriculture only in the seventies, from the famous and contested Monsanto. At the beginning it was mainly used before sowing for freeing the fields from weeds but now it is also used after sowing. Glyphosate is currently sold throughout the world by Monsanto but not only, which also produces seeds of modified plants that are precisely resistant to the pesticide which is then used in double doses even after sowing.
In the United States glyphosate has been authorized by the Environmental Protection Agency, and in Europe by the European Commission, which approved it for the first time in 2002. But precisely in June 2016 the European Commission has extended the authorisation for the placing on the market until the end of 2017, waiting for a certain result of analysis to understand the risks involved.

Glyphosate however became famous to say so precisely because its growing in use mainly because of GMOS, to which it proves to be indispensable. In all countries then wherein genetically modified food is allowed glyphosate proves to be indispensable, currently for example all over South America with economies in strong growth use glyphosate and more is always required.

But is glyphosate really harmful?

Till today there are various opinions that are strongly conflicting, therefore we wonder how is this possible?

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC- organism of the OMS) has defined it multiple times as a probable carcinogen. While EFSA, European Agency for food safety, had established that “it is unlikely to be a carcinogenic risk to man”and have repeated this statement also a few days ago. This decision by the EFSA, could encourage the renewal of the use of glyphosate on the part of the European Union.

The question that comes easily to our head is how can a chemical pesticide not harm our health?? And the anti-cancer association in reality has no secondary purposes, in reality not even the European food safety Agency should have any if not for the fact that Monsanto currently produces pesticides, herbs and genetically modified seeds and at the same time even medicines….there may be a connection???
